Administering Inpatient CareHospital Consultants is a private practice group that has been administering inpatient care since 1999. Our physicians are all board-certified internists and our practice is solely inpatient. In addition to patient care, we are significantly involved in hospital administrative responsibilities and provide education to residents, students and other health care providers. We are involved in developing protocols and we customize our duties to suit the individual hospital system.

Referring PhysiciansWe have a large list of referring physicians who utilize our services. We accommodate these physicians by respecting their referral preferences, tailoring admit, discharge and update notifications to each referring physicians' preferred method of contact and by providing timely availability of dictated H&Ps, discharge summaries and consultations. We communicate frequently with our primary care physicians to provide the highest quality patient care.

Efficiency in Patient CareSince our practice is solely inpatient care, we are keenly aware of issues important to the inpatient setting. Specifically important are issues relating to efficiency in patient care. We have significantly cut down on length of stay, decreased resource utilization and improved patient outcome at all of the hospitals where we practice.
We believe that competence, availability, communication and collegiality are important and necessary qualities in every hospitalist. |
